Session Description: The Payment Card Industry's Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS) have changed in early 2022, and the current version will be retired in early 2024. Adherence to the PCI-DSS is often challenging for organizations, and the bar only raises with v4.0. Please join our panel for a discussion on the PCI-DSS and how Internal Audit can provide meaningful assistance in meeting these requirements.
Learning Objectives:
Following this discussion, participants will be able to:
- Provide a brief overview of the PCI-DSS and discuss the planned changes with v4.0.
- Explain how your Internal Audit function could serve a trusted internal advisor by providing an objective perspective on PCI-DSS adherence that others within your organizations, such as IT, Finance, Legal and Compliance, and others in Operations may overlook.
- Provide specific PCI-DSS risk areas that Internal Audit should assess as a priority, based on challenges that other organizations have experienced. Additionally, provide a set of recommendations that provide reasonable and meaningful controls to meet or exceed PCI-DSS requirements for these challenge areas.
