Over the last 5 years, value-based care (VBC) reimbursement models with one-sided and two-sided risk arrangements have increased by 40%. This significant growth introduces risk to an organization (both plan and provider) - as providers become more responsible for traditional insurance-focused capabilities, and as payers validate millions of dollars in settlements each year. The session will cover the fundamentals of what value-based care is, how it has evolved over time, what makes a successful partnership, and what common areas of risk health plans and providers encounter on their path to value.
