Webinar Description:

DEA regulations can be complex and difficult to understand and citations involving these regulations can lead to million-dollar settlements. A DEA audit or inspection can lead to criminal prosecution and administrative action against your DEA registration if violations of the Controlled Substances Act are found. If an entity is a member of a larger organization, DEA may inspect other locations within that health system to investigate practices throughout the organization.

During this session, we’ll review some of the top overlooked DEA regulations that can put you and your organization at risk. We’ll also discuss action plans to avoid fines, negative press, and the possibility of a loss of licensure for both personnel/entities.

Learning Objectives:
Following this discussion, participants will be able to:
  1. establish controlled substance security, record-keeping, tracking, and monitoring processes to comply with DEA regulations.
  2. institute rigorous safeguards and record-keeping controls to prevent diversion of controlled substances.
