Susan is the Director of Kodiak’s Pharmacy/340B Solution Team. She has been a pharmacist for 30+ years, specializing in informatics, pharmacy operations, and 340B program compliance, including managing the 340B Program at a DSH covered entity at her previous employer. Additional experience includes medication management, medication safety, drug diversion, revenue cycle, and inventory management. Susan is a 340B Apexus Certified Expert and holds certificates in Informatics, Medication Safety, and Opioid Stewardship from ASHP.
Melany C. Aylor, CPHT, 340B ACE - Manager, Kodiak Solutions
Melany is a Consulting Manager on Kodiak’s Pharmacy/340B Solution Team. She has been a certified pharmacy technician for 23 years having worked in both the retail and hospital pharmacy settings. Melany was the 340B Coordinator for a hospital system with multiple hospitals before coming to Kodiak. Additional experience includes medication management, revenue cycle, inventory management and reimbursement. Melany is also a 340B Apexus Certified Expert.
Webinar Description:
This class will begin by introducing the 340B program which will include the inception of the program, who oversees the program, and how hospitals and health centers qualify for the program. We will discuss how patient eligibility is defined and give an overview of Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) requirements. Next, we will focus on HRSA’s audit process by reviewing recent changes to the data request list, present a summary of recent HRSA audit findings, and discuss strategies your organization can adopt to prepare for a successful HRSA audit. Finally, we will provide an update on the dispute between safety-net hospitals and drug manufacturers, as manufacturers persist with revising their policies on restricting 340B pricing for drugs dispensed through contract pharmacies.
